Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering has the reputation of being an ever evolving, ceaselessly and perpetually growing branch and its relevance is essentially undeniable.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in our campus has well-equipped labs to impart sound practical knowledge of the subject. The practical aspects of the curriculum are in no way less important than the theoretical knowledge for the proper understanding of the basic concepts. With this end and objective in mind a sound practical knowledge is imparted to the students.

The Department has highly qualified, competent, dedicated and distinguished faculty members to impart quality education, project guidance and personality development through enhancement of communication skills and group discussions. Seminars are conducted to keep abreast of the latest development in the industry. Industrial tours and visits are arranged especially for senior students to reduce the gulf which usually yawns between the academia and the industry.

HOD's Desk

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. It requires a solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy. Mechanical engineers use the core principles as well as other knowledge in the field to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more.
